18 Years!

Eighteen years ago today, we became husband and wife. I can still remember the nerves of that day, the trembling hands, coming down the stairs of your parents house praying that I wouldn't take a tumble down them. The fly that we were both convinced was going to land in the preachers mouth. Trying to get my shaking hands to sync up with yours to get that ring on, then having to shove it on your hand because there was no way it wasn't going to fit and go on that day. Our first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. G.
Sitting and standing for all of the pictures, the craziness of flash bulbs going off in our face. Holding your hands and feeling so overwhelmed by how much I loved you. Being surrounded by our families, seeing their tears, feeling their love for us. Wondering when we would have a private moment to ourselves. Trying to remember to breath, and looking at you and having my breath taken away from me over and over again.
Eighteen years later, I still feel that same love for you. Sitting here this morning looking at pictures from that day, typing this post, I still feel that you are the love of my life, and there is no one that could take your place in my heart. Thinking about the years here today, and we have had our share of very hard ones, but we got through them together, and they have made us stronger, and made me love you even more. Face it Todd Allan you have me for the rest of your life, and I have you for the rest of mine, and I cant think of anything better than that. I love you Todd, and today I will be missing you just a little more, and thinking about you a lot. Today is our day, and has been for the last 18 years. Happy Anniversary Sweetie!

Eclipse is ready for her photo shoot

After having the last three weeks off, Eclipse was more than ready and willing to sit for some picture taking last night. Her reason for being gone from the Feline Friday for so many weeks...well Mom brought that new puppy into the house. Much like the routine for when we brought Trinity home a year ago, Eclipse has had to protest and hide for the last three weeks. This week has started her other form of protest against things she isn't happy with, kitty getting sick all over the house. I know I may sound like a bit of a nut, but I swear this kitty can make herself sick just to get back at me for things that she doesn't like. The good news is that by the time she gets to the revenge getting sick on all my stuff, it means that she is about to the point of accepting the new change. (Really people you are going to have to believe me, this cat's revenge is to make herself get sick on anything and everything mine when she is mad at me.)

Okay, so yesterday was Feline Friday over at Steve's, so head on over there to check out all of this weeks picky kitty's, and if you want to join in just leave a link to your blog in comments.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!

Traveling the world with Binky Sue

It is the last day of our traveling, and we get to go with Binky Sue tonight on a trip around the world. Steph would really like to travel to Germany where she was born and see all the things that we have pictures of doing, but because she was just a baby, just doesn't remember at all. She would also like to travel through all of Europe, and then further east towards Japan and China. Miss Binky Sue loves all things Asian, and would love to see both of those countries.
Now for Mom's two cents on the girls traveling wishes. I found it kind of funny that two of them want to do some pretty major traveling of the world and one has just a few place, and two of those being places that are local to us right now. They are all more than happy to list out all of the places that they have traveled through already, and hope to one day be totally caught up with their Grandma and Grandpa G. Listening to them talk about places they would like to travel to was pretty fun though because each of them touched on the topic of just how much they are enjoying staying still right now. I would like to travel back to Germany where Steph and Paige were born and back to Hawaii for Chey. I can also list out a couple of states that I would like to go and see, but this is about their travels not mine.
Tomorrow is Friday again, which means the Felines will be getting their day to shine on the blog. I hope that everyone has a great day tomorrow and is looking forward to the coming weekend.

Travel with Cheybug Wednesday

Welcome to our trip with Cheybug! This one is going to take a little longer than Paige's but that is because Chey seems to have one really good list of places she would like to travel to. The first place that she said when I mentioned this as the topic was Hawaii, to be able to see where she was born. Maybe from there head off to Japan, to see all the pretty silks and the sights. From there we will jump on over to England, for some history and tea. Then Ireland to see if we can find some pots of gold, and wear some green. Off to Germany for sights, food and more history. Oh and since we are over there let's just finish off the trip with heading to France for some food, and more sights. I'm just glad that these are future travel plans because man this one is going to cost a lot.
One more girl and one more set of travel wishes, so we will see you all tomorrow for the last one.

Let's go travel with Sweetpea Tuesday

It is time to travel this week for the girls. They want to talk about all the places they would like to travel to. Sweetpea was happy because she could use an art project that she brought home today for her picture. Paige loves any trips to Tucson and Tombstone that we make. She would love to travel to Paris and be able to go to the museums and just see all the beauty that France in general has to offer art wise. Paige really doesn't talk about to many other places she wants to travel to.

I hope that everyone is having a great week, and I'll see you back here tomorrow for the next girls travels.

Tagged- About Us

My sister-in-law Connie had this up on her blog, so since Monday is my day for whatever I want, I'm doing this one.

ABOUT US...What is his name? Todd Allan

How long have you been together? Come this Sunday we have been married for 18 years, come November we have been together for 20 years.

How long did you date? We were just shy of 2 years when we got married

How old is he? 43...must be a brother thing to rob the cradle

Who said I love you first? I'm not sure, it might have been both of us

Who is taller? Todd is taller

Who sings better? I'm sorry but if you can call it singing it would have to be me, Todd singing makes all of us run screaming. Just kidding

Who is smarter? We both are smart, now if it was a question about who was the better smart alec that would have to be Todd.

Whose temper is worse? Oh mine...by miles is worse

Who does the laundry? I do

Who does the dishes? The girls and I do, but Todd will every now and then he just doesn't like to let it be known that he knows how to work that dishwasher.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me

Who pays the bills? Me

Who mows the lawn? Todd does, but since he has been gone I have been and I so cant wait for him to get back home and do his job!

Who cooks dinner? We all work on dinner together. I get most of the work for it, but it is family time come dinner cooking time.

Who drives when you are together? Most of the time me, but that is only because I have horrible panic attacks when someone else is driving anymore.

Who is more stubborn? I would say me, Todd would probably say him, so let's just say both of us.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Wrong? Oh I so don't think so, that doesn't happen. Really, it doesn't.

Whose parents do you see the most? Umm..well...umm...I would have to say that it is kind of balanced between the two since we have always lived so far away. We really don't get to see either side that much, and in the last few years with having to be close to home due to Chey and appointments we really haven't seen anyone unless they have made it out here to Arizona.

Who kissed who first? Todd kissed me first

Who asked who out? Our first time out was based on a bet at work, he lost the bet so had to take me out for breakfast the next morning.

Who proposed? Oh, Todd did, and poor guy since we had been chilling out watching sappy girly movies, I thought he was messing around and thought it was a joke. My first response was "Are you kidding around?" and then a "Stop messing around" before I realized he was for real about it.

Who is more sensitive? I am, but my hubby has a very big heart hidden in all that macho.

Who has more friends? Oh good grief Todd does. He cant go anywhere without running into someone that he knows.

Who has more siblings? We are tied. Todd has 2 brothers and 1 sister. I have 3 sisters.

Who wears the pants in the family? We both do, pretty tight fit getting us both in there but oh well, it works.

I TAG: Christy, Gina, and anyone else that wants to play along.

Angel One More Time

I said I was going to try one more week with trying to get some good pictures of Angel, and here is the best of what I got of her. I had Paige help me with these, and at least I was able to get a little closer in for pictures, and Angel didn't move around as much when I went to take the pictures. I still have an issue with her closing her eyes do to the orange light of the focus sensor. I was happy though to have at least this one where you can see the single white patch of fur on her. When she was little it looked like wings on her chest which is what I named her Angel. To tell the truth her attitude does not match her name, but I love her for that. She did sit so well with Paige sitting on the floor just next to her for these pictures, so my idea kind of worked.
It is Feline Friday time again over at Steve's, so don't forget to head on over there and check out all of this weeks felines. Since it is still very early in the day I'm just going to post a link over to his blog and not just one that will take you to the Feline Friday post. Everyone have a great weekend!

Binky Sue's Future

Time for Miss Binky Sue's future plans. Steph would like to go into business, own her own business actually. She would like to own a bakery, that becomes a chain larger than McDonald's and then take over the world via their weakness for the sweet treats they can buy from her shops. Muhahahahahahaha! Okay, so only part of that is right. Okay, okay only the owning a bakery is right, she really doesn't want to take over the world. Well, maybe just a small corner of it.
Her short term goals are to pass algebra 2, live through the rest of high school in one piece, and to maybe...just maybe finally break the 5 feet 2 inch mark before she graduates. Oh and maybe get a boyfriend that she doesn't drop like a bad habit after a week because they are to needy, to much a mama's boy, call after 9 pm, and doesn't make any unwanted moves into her personal space. I have to be proud of this young lady, she knows what she wants and isn't going to settle for less than. Nothing wrong with that.
Well, folks the long term and short term goals are done now. Tomorrow will be Feline Friday and YAY the weekend is here again! Everyone have a good night and see you here tomorrow.

Creepy Crawling Thing

Only giving one warning here. So if you choose to scroll down just remember that I'm telling you there is a creepy crawling thing picture on this entry.

Yesterday after finishing working in the back yard, I had to chain the back gate closed again and imagine my surprise when I looked down and found a little "friend" just inches from my finger tips. I hate spiders, but I find it hard to resist taking a picture of an interesting looking one. So I played off my running for the house by grabbing my camera and going right back down to the gate where this one was willing to risk life and all of its limbs to defend the gate that it had claimed as it's own. I realized yesterday that I don't think there is any camera with enough zoom for me to get a great picture of this one. It was not happy and kept running all over the place, and I was to afraid to get in any closer than what I already was, just to get a picture. Spider bites are just so not worth a great picture. The girls had a great discussion about just what kind of spider this one is. I have no idea, I just know it was very hairy and scary! Their idea's were it is either a white banded tarantula, a red haired tarantula, or a bird spider. Paige of course wanted me to take her outside and show her where I had moved it to, and I had to break the news to her that I had to kill it because I really had to get that back gate relocked up before puppies went back outside. (I'm sorry but it just wasn't going to give up the ground it had claimed as it's own!) Besides since the flash sight of the red had freaked me out thinking it was a black widow spider, I just really didn't want to deal with the thing anymore. No lectures please, I have Paige who does enough of that with me about it.

Anyway, later tonight will be BinkySue's entry, and I hope that everyone has a great day!

Cheybug Wednesday

Cheybug Wednesday brings us to my little drama princess. She is working on achieving her queen title here very soon though. So go figure that Chey wants a future in performing, singing to be exact, but if you ask anyone in the family drama is her best carer option. She is a very good singer though, but is not involved in the choir this year, however she is involved in the drama club. There is also the thought that she wants to go into medicine when she grows up also. Oh plus being a veterinarian, mother, beautician, photographer, and I think the list goes on and on. She is only in 7th grade though so she has a few years to get it all figured out.

Her short term goals are much easier to list out. She wants a good year in school this year, which would mean not missing a lot of days due to seizures. She would like to be off the medicine sometime this school year. She would like to not have to see any doctors on any kind of regular basis. She would like to get a part in the play that is coming up. All of these things add up for a good year in school for her. Well that is it for Chey this week, tomorrow is Binky Sue's day. Everyone have a good night.

Sweetpea Tuesday

It is Sweetpeag Tuesday again, and this week we had a suggestion from my friend Gina as to what the topic should be. Future goals, what are the things that they are thinking about doing when they are grown up. This one for Paige was an easy answer, there are only two things that she has ever really talked about doing or being when she grows up. One is an artist, actually that is the biggest one that she has ever talked about. Everything with Paige is about the art, art supplies, drawing for hours on end. Art...art...art...art...This past Christmas was listed as her best one because she got all things art. The other passion that Paige has is for animals, she would like to get into zoology. Paige would tell you that the only thing she really doesn't care for is the fact that it means more schooling. Okay, so it isn't so much the schooling, it is the having to take classes that she really doesn't care about. Her shorter term goal is to get some of her work in the county art show again this year. Her happiest day last year was getting her invitation for last years art show. The picture that she is holding is the one that was in the show.

This week since all kids seem to be feeling better, I should be able to stay on track with the posting. Although it seems like it is going to be a bit of a hectic crazy week even with all kids feeling well. I hope that everyone is having a good week.

Another Monday

Another Monday morning is here, and I'm hopeful that this week will run a little smoother than last week. Paige and Cheyenne have doctor appointments tomorrow for just routine check ups and because they are both needing more allergy medicines. Steph and Mom managed to avoid any of the stomach bug that made it's way into the house with Chey last week. Paige is doing better and fighting the dizzy just a little less each day, so by the end of this week hopefully everything should be back to normal for her.

We are at the less than 30 days till Todd gets to come back home now. YAY!! It won't be soon enough with the way the girls have been fighting with each other. I need some parental back up here! A lot of the fighting has come from girls just not feeling all that great but geez...do we really have to fight just because someone talks to us? I guess in the world of siblings that is just all that is needed to set off a good fight. However, ignoring Mom when she calls you is never a good thing, and I had a weekend filled with being ignored when calling a child out to help with something. I'm sure Todd found himself wishing he hadn't made the phone calls home after having to listen to me promise groundings to child after child in this house. I'm pretty sure he also got very tired of hearing that I need a vacation when this whole TDY is over. The phrase "I love my children", and "I'm running away" seemed to be my two most repeated things to myself. Between the dogs, and the kids I think I broke records for saying "Stop it", "No", "Knock it off", and "Are you kidding me!". Ah...the life of being Mom.

Anyway, I hope that this week is a good one for everyone, and I'm hoping to get back to that blogging schedule that the girls set up for me this week. Everyone have a great Monday!

Where is Angels Head?

I'm not one to walk away from a challenge here, so we have Angel yet again this week proving just how much she doesn't care for having her picture taken. I need to figure out a way to turn off my focus light the lights up every time I start to focus the camera. Angel sees it and knows what is coming so then moves to hide or whatever the game is for the day. For these pictures it was every time the light shown she would cover her face with one of her paws. But, I think I have an idea that might just help me get a good picture of her, so going to work on that this week and see what I can get.
It is time for Feline Friday over at Steve's Blog . So head on over there and check out all of this weeks wonderful felines, and if you want to play along just post an entry and leave a link in comments. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Let's just have chocolate instead

Instead of trying to catch up with myself on the blog here, I'm going to distract all of you with some chocolate goodies that Todd sent to us. Now the only way this could be better is if there was smell-o-vision so you could get the full effect of all the chocolaty goodness sitting in the two boxes. Actually to be honest, smelling that much sweet in one place was to much even for me. Chocolate covered apples and the huge peanut butter cups is what Todd sent to us this time. How the guy that hates chocolate is surviving the chocolate factory to get this stuff for us, I have no idea, but it is some really wonderful stuff that he is sending to us.
Our glitch for the week lasted a second day, and that is why I am off on my posting week here. At this point in time I'm thinking it would just be better not do a catch up thing and just fill in and then start over with the new week. Since I think Todd sent us to much chocolate, I will gladly share some to make up for it. So I will just pick up with today and the Feline Friday this afternoon if I can manage to locate a cat for some pictures. My good news for today is that Chey made it back to school yesterday, and I got Paige in to see the doctor yesterday afternoon to figure out just what was going on with her. Paige has positional vertigo, and as of this morning is really not willing to stay home again no matter how dizzy she may be. So I'm going to hope that she can make it through the day without having any real big issues. Anyway, I will be back later in the day with some feline photos, and hope that everyone has a great Friday.

A glitch in the week

Sorry but no pictures today, and no Cheybug Wednesday. We hit a bit of a glitch to our week at about 1:23 AM. Chey was up getting sick, and as of 5:50 AM Paige was sick also. So two girls down with a bug that hit the house fast and hard, a very tired Mom because of being up helping sick children, and Steph just trying to get out of the house quickly before anyone breathed sick germs in her direction. Sick girls have spent most of the day sleeping, only waking up for temperatures to be taken and Mom to make them some broth and crackers for lunch. Mom got about an hour nap till Daddy called to check on all of the sick girls in the house, oh and to see if I was getting any sleep.
Right now I'm hoping that Steph and I can just pass on this round of sick. Paige and Chey were able to hold down lunches and move around a little bit. Paige is more dizzy than anything else right now, Chey just keeps saying that her stomach hurts. So hopefully this will be a fast moving thing and with taking the whole day to sleep, and some early bed times tonight, maybe tomorrow will be a healthier day.

Sweetpea Tuesday

Sweetpea Tuesday brings us to Paige's room. My little sweetpea likes her room to be dark, and very warm. Whatever mess she may have going on in her room is a very organized mess. Most of the time it is a pile of dirty clothes laying in her room, oh and the pencil shavings from the nonstop drawing that goes on in here. Since Grandma Joan got her a great art kit box for Christmas, her art supplies no longer lay from one end of the room to the other. I added some rubbermaid containers for the larger things and now they are all stored away and kept very safe. If you cant guess from the pictures, Paige loves dragons. All things dragon, there is barely a space in this room that doesn't have some kind of dragon on it. It starts are her bedroom door and runs through the whole room. Since I was just trying to get the picture shot I opted against doing a better set up with the camera and trying to capture the lighting that she does with the room. Some say it is very calming, I say there are days walking into her room that it makes me feel like I have found the portal into hell. It is the torch light that we got her that gives it that feeling. Paige does lighting in her room according to times of the day and her mood, so she has the most lamps in her room. Plain white 3-way lamp for when she is drawing and doing homework. The flame orange of the torch lamp for when she is trying to relax and center herself. Blue for when she is resting or sleeping. Unlike the other two girls she is very much against bright in her room. So the blinds are hardly ever open, and unless I open the window, there is no such thing as fresh air allowed in this room. Some how Paige manages to keep her room a good 10-15 degrees warmer than any other room in this house. I still have yet to figure out just how she does that. Paige views her room as her own little part of the world where no one judges her for being "different", it is a place where she can just let her mind wander and her imagination run free. She doesn't like to let other's in her room much at all. Even I'm just tolerated for brief moments in her room, which is fine because I know that when I ask her to get something done she is going get it done.
Okay that is it for Sweetpea Tuesday, I hope everyone is having a good week so far. See you tomorrow for Cheybug Wednesday.

Random Monday

It is Monday morning, and one of my two free days for blogging that the girls gave to me last week when they made up my blogging schedule. I think they are working on revising my week so as to add a day for the dogs though. But for now, today is whatever I want, and I wanted to do some flowers for today. Okay some flowers with bugs on them but it's my choice for today. My search for some flowers last Wednesday left me very tired, since I was still fighting with what took me down the week before. It was just a very quick trip up to reservoir hill and there really wasn't all that much up their blooming right now. Well, unless I had the energy to hike down part of the mountain to take some pictures. Since that wasn't going to happen due to me feeling so wiped out, I only took maybe 7 pictures while out.

My other picture choice for today is a first portrait attempt with Mia. Actually it was an attempt for both Mia and Trinity, but Trinity was not going to sit still long enough this weekend for that one. She is still trying to figure out this new thing that Mom brought in the house. Anyway, I hope that everyone has a great start to the new week.

Sibling Sunday

We are only missing two for this picture of the siblings, but Angel and Eclipse probably are not going to pose for a picture with the dogs anytime soon. The girls have been very helpful this weekend with Mia, and Trinity. The dogs seem to be having moments of accepting each other, and then other moments of no way in the world are they going to like each other. I'm pretty sure as time passes that all will be okay with them though.

This week brought home progress reports, the most disliked time for Paige and most liked for Steph and Chey. Paige just doesn't care to do the homework in most of her classes, which is the main reason that she tends to have bad progress reports. It is usually split half good and half bad grades. She knows the talk by heart now, and I'm finding myself getting tired of repeating the words "Do your homework". The funny things is that odds are by the end of the grading period she will have pulled all of the grades up and then next quarter we will have to do the progress report time talk all over again. She keeps me on my toes that is for sure. Steph is doing very well so far and Chey I have to wait for hers to come in the mail sometime this week to see.

I guess for this Sibling Sunday there really isn't all that much new going on. The girls want another long weekend from school already, and have one heck of a run till they will actually get another one. We are nearing the one more month till Todd gets to come back home, and are just really kind of settled into a good routine again this week. We hope that everyone has had a good weekend, and that there is a great week ahead.

New family addition

I would like to introduce everyone to Mia, the newest member of our house here in Arizona. Mia and her siblings made one heck of an entrance into my day yesterday. While outside with Trinity I noticed her acting funny and doing her hunting dog stance. After a couple of times of thinking that she was just being her Trinity crazy self, I realized that I was hearing sounds too. High pitched yelping, crying sounds coming for the ravine area in back. I was guessing Trinity was hearing it much better than me, so I opened up the back fence and took Trinity on her leash out towards the ravine. Trinity took the lead sniffing and listening the whole way, the coon hound in her was doing a great job yesterday. When we got down closer she stopped and took a pointing stance. After calling her back up to me and then telling her to go again she went right back to the same spot and I listened and heard the crying yelping. After bringing Trinity back up into the house, I grabbed a box and headed back down to the ravine hoping that what we had heard wasn't a bunch of coyote pups. But since the ravine had a good amount of water running through it due to the rain that had been falling since Thursday night, I figured no matter what I needed to get whatever was down there out of there. It took a little bit of hunting through all of the brush and tree limbs but eventually I saw a flash of a little brown fur and kept hearing the crying. Six puppies is what I found trying to climb up the hill of the ravine to get away from the flowing water. They were all moving around very well, and looked to be healthy, just having one heck of a time trying to climb that hill with their short little legs. One at a time I got them all picked up and put into the box that I had brought out with me, talking to them about calming down and they were going to be okay. After wandering around in the ravine to make sure that I had all of them, it was back up to the house to try and figure out just who to call and what to do with our find of the day. By the way, six puppies make one heck of a noise when they are upset. I finally found the card for the main gal over at the Huachuca City shelter, figuring I would rather take the puppies there than any place else because I know that they do a lot of placing the animals with rescue groups if they cant find other homes for them before time runs out. It is where we adopted Trinity from last year, and just has some really good people working there.

Now, just let me say that I had no intentions of keeping any of these puppies. Heck I was avoiding looking at any of them to much for fear of falling for one of them. I got them all out to the shelter and stuck around while they were all being checked out. When I went to leave viewing my time with them as over, I was stopped by a little someone holding onto the hem of my pant leg. I looked down and saw the facial features of our Daisy dog looking back up at me. I still was going to try to get out of there without a new addition to the house, but little Mia was not going to have anything to do with that shelter I guess. I think she made up her mind that she was going to make the return trip with me and if it meant staying attached to my pant leg then that was just what she was going to have to do. I crumbled looking at her, and seeing the face of my Daisy looking back at me. I have so missed my Daisy dog, how could I leave this little one behind when she was making it very clear that she wanted to go home.

So little Mia is our newest, and finally addition to the house here. She is the littlest one here, but is already showing signs of claiming the whole thing as her own. To find her you only have to find me, and she will be very close to if not laying on or by my feet. Trinity has taken on a mothering roll with the little one, and I think is pretty proud of herself for finding them. Trinity got treats for being such a good dog yesterday, and I think she is really happy to have a friend to play with. It was a good day yesterday for both Trinity and I, we did a good thing rescuing those little pups. Even better was while I was out at the shelter there were two couples that came in and fell in love with some of Mia's liter mates and were taking them home. So by last night three of them had homes and I'm sure hoping that by the end of this weekend all of them are in forever homes, and not having to give a thought about the fact that someone tossed them into a ravine yesterday morning and probably hoped they would either drown or be coyote food. I hope that all of them by the end of this weekend are curled up sleeping very content by someone that already loves them like little Mia is right now. Everyone have a good weekend!

Okay so Angel doesn't like me

I got the picture on Friday, just didn't get around to posting it. Okay I kind of got a picture yesterday. I really wanted to get Angel for this weeks Feline Friday, to bad the cat just hate that camera of mine. When all was said and done, of the 40 some pictures I snapped this one and only this one was any good. Angel is a tease that has figured out just when and how to ruin or blur a picture shot. Of course it also may have something to do with a new addition to our house as of yesterday, but that will get it's own entry, this one is all about the Felines. Time to post pictures of your kitty babies and then head over to Steve's and leave a link back to the entry, and of course make sure to check out all of the other kitty fur babies.

What's in a room? Binky Sue style

Ah a new topic. The girls picked this one, which made me laugh that they would want this topic to be covered at all. Bedroom, their rooms, the spot where they hide, they chill, they do homework, they sleep. All though how I'm just not sure. Steph's room during the week is very much a girls room. Her bed has the outfits that were a no go in the process of getting ready for school, shoes laying around as she figures out just what kind of shoe mood she is in for the day. When she gets home she adds to it with papers from her bag and school books scattered around as she works on homework. By the time Friday rolls around I'm always amazed that she can find anything. It always seems to be a little more rushed in the get around come Friday mornings. Come the weekend though it gets cleaned up and looks perfect again. No fighting with her to get it done, she just picks up everything. Which is really good, because if she let this grow it would probably crawl it's way right out the front door.

Okay so there is the first of the three rooms. I'm just kind of worried about shooting the pictures of the other two. Everyone have a great day!

Cheybug Wednesday

Time for Cheybug and her food fact. Chey is my difficult one for this week, because she like lots of different foods, but is picky at the same time. She also spends a lot of time behind this refrigerator door because she eats so slowly that she fills up quickly and never really eats a whole meal at one time, but instead eats lots of little meals over the course of the day. There aren't many things that she doesn't enjoy eating. Chey is the one that is almost always in the kitchen either looking for something to eat or looking to help cook the meal. Snacks are her favorite meal, popcorn being the best of the snacks really.
I was hoping that once I sat down to this one that it would be easier to type out for her, but really she just loves food.

I hope that everyone is having a great week so far.

Sweetpeag Tuesday

Last Thursday I posted about Steph and the great cinnamon roll addiction, and said that I was going to try and do one girl each Thursday. Well, the girls saw it and decided that they would each like their own day week. So after them sitting me down and planning out my blogging week this is what I'm going to be trying to be doing:

Sibling Sundays

Sweetpeag Tuesdays

Cheybug Wednesdays

BinkySue/Nennie Thursdays

Feline Fridays

I get to keep Monday and Saturdays for whatever I might want to do. I'm so glad that the girls planned things out for me. Cool thing is that they have already picked the next topic to blog about them.

Okay now for the all about my Paigee! Paige has earned the "most picky" eater of my house since she was very little. She loves tomato soup, but hates any meal that has a tomato base to it like chili or spaghetti. Her vegetables are limited to sweet peas, green beans, corn and broccoli, but only if it has cheese on it. Paige loves to eat same meals for days on end and very rarely likes to try something that is new. There is an odd thing about this child though, she has created some combinations that I have never thought about to like. What she is holding in the above picture is everything that you would need to make her favorite sandwich. A turkey and tuna sandwich! It's very easy to make of course. Just a little bit of mayo spread on the bread, minus the crusts of course. A slice of cheese, some slices of turkey lunch meat, a drained can of tuna, a little more turkey, and then according to Paige...you are in sandwich heaven. She has yet to be able to talk any of the rest of us into trying one, and I really don't think it will happen. We are just going to take her word for the fact that it is wonderful. How she came up with this one, no one really knows, just one of those wonderful creations that my Sweetpeag comes up with every now and then. It is like the salad that has not one piece of lettuce in it. Now if it were to be said that Paige has an addiction to any one thing it would have to be milk for her. She is the main reason for this house still going through 4 gallons every two weeks.

So there is the odd facts about food for Paige. Now that everyone has their own day of the week, and is going to help me pick topics to write about, we shall see how long Mom can keep this going. I hope that everyone has a great day today, and see you tomorrow for Cheybug Wednesday.

End of a long weekend

Paige missed being out for this photo tonight due to being busy getting around for school tomorrow. The last weekend of summer is nearing an end here, and it has been a very good weekend here in Arizona. The girls were happy to have their first long weekend of the school year since they started the 8th of August. We got some more back to school shopping done this weekend. Had a good amount of just goofy time spent with each other here. We are all happy that one month is done of the TDY for Todd, and with the way time is passing it will be done very soon.
The older girls are hoping for a better week out at the high school this week. Last week brought a lot of sadness to the high school and the community as a whole, they lost 4 students. Tuesday brought automated phone calls from the high school to let parents know what had happened and directions to their web site for more details about what all was going on and just what the school was doing to help the students affected by it. The short version of it was that in July a young man was killed in a monsoon related car accident, and over last weekend 2 other young male friends of his were killed in dirt bike accidents, and his young girl friend to her own life early Monday morning. Steph and Paige said that the high school last week was just mostly silent, which with the size of their school really says something. The school brought in grief counselors, and are going to keep them present for the next couple of weeks to help all of the students to deal with the loss of their friends. So prayers and good thoughts for all of the close friends of these young people.
Things at the middle school for Chey were very uneventful this last week. I'm really happy seeing her doing so very well this year so far, and happier that the lowering of her depakote seems to be going great.

Okay, I think that is about enough for one entry. I hope that everyone had a wonderful, laughter filled weekend with those that you love. I also hope that the week brings lots more laughter.

Eclipse Close up

Running late with my Feline Friday entry here this week. Eclipse was ready several times this week, but I just wasn't due to being taken down for the count by a migraine and a sinus issue gone way bad. This morning though she really showed just how ready she was for the camera though and sat right down and started her poses. Even without having to sit and play for a time before hand, she was the perfect kitty model this morning. I'm starting to think that she is claiming Friday as her day to be in the spot light of the camera.

Okay by now you know the deal with this, head on over to Steve's to check out all of the wonderful felines. If you want to play along just shoot a picture, post on your own blog and then leave a comment over at his place. I hope that everyone is having a great holiday weekend, stay safe!
