Poor Nami

Today I'm a bit sad. I'm not sure just what happened but my betta Nami died today. I knew this morning when I found him swimming upside down that there was something really not right with him. I held out some hope though over the day as he would seem to start swimming right, and then this afternoon there was about a 40 minute time period of insanity going on in his tank. From the top of the tank fast down to the bottom of the tank to slam his fishy face into the stones, then back up to the top with a flip out of the water. Well then came the one time that his flip at the top landed him outside of the tank and scaring Eclipse half to death. About 15 minutes after I got him back in his tank the end came for Nami. Little bug was upset to hear the news, but Sweetpea, Nennie and Billybob Bubba Todd said "It's just a fish" and then wanted to know if we were having fish sticks for dinner. (Oh they are just so very funny!!)

It was a burial at sea for poor Nami, and me being told by girls that I now had a reason to go out and buy another one. I still say my poor Nami though. I hope that everyone has been having a good week, and see you here tomorrow for Feline Friday.

Just testing

No Little bug and Sweetpea weren't really about to choke each other. I asked the girls to pose for me tonight to be able to do some test picture of my first done background. Of course any time I ask them to pose for me to do some tests with something, I have to agree to let them pick out some of their own poses.

I also have to agree to that I can not expect smiles when I am endlessly shooting pictures and blinding them with flash and other lights. It was worth it tonight though since I really wanted to see what my finished product looked like. Over all I like the colors of the backdrop, I'm just still wishing I had not gotten the paint splatter on it when the spray paint spray top broke. However, since this was my very first try I'm very happy with the end results.

That will cost an arm and half a leg please

I don't have any pictures for this entry because after the the sticker shock of being in Dr. D's office yesterday for glasses, I just couldn't risk picking up my camera. All three girls had their eye exams yesterday, and I have to say that I love Dr. D's office. They schedule my girls in one huge block, and once they start they run them in age order and make sure that after pre processing the first one that she goes in the exam room right across the hall from there and Dr. D start the eye exam while the next one is working her way through pre tests. They leave the exam room door open for me so that I can go between both, and when the first one is done and out picking out frames or sitting down to get the final paper work done they are helpful yet again by picking the station that is right next to the exam rooms so that I can even go between all three area's. It sounds a bit hectic, but actually runs very smoothly for getting all three of them done. By the time we got to the point of having Little bug sitting down and getting fitted for hers Nennie was being fitted with her glasses that were already done.

Speaking of Nennie...poor Nennie had to have that eye puff test done a total of 6 time. Sweetpea was right behind her with a total of 4 times. They both seem to run a little higher eye pressure, which since Dr. D has seen Daddy too, is wondering if it is just a family trait. Nennie's was high enough though that Dr. D did drop and then tested it with a cruel looking device in the exam room. Nennie said she will no longer complain about the eye puff test after that. I also opted to have the Optomap retina screening done for all of the girls because of their tendency to have high eye pressures. The scan gives him a whole picture of the entire inside of the eyes, and it was very interesting to me and the girls as he showed us all the different areas. To me it was very much worth paying for the test that Tricare won't pay for.

All three girls had changes in their vision of course. So two new sets of glasses were bought, and Nennie kept her frames and had the new lenses put in them. Sweetpea is the only set that they couldn't get done yesterday while we were there. She wants the transition lenses so we will get a call in the next day or so when they are done. Little bug was the least happy of the group though. Her last set was to help with nearsighted and then bifocals. Of course Little bug really didn't like wearing those though. So one day when she managed to pop a lens out of them instead of bringing them to me, she threw them away. The side effect was Little bug who was wearing .50 and only needed them for short time periods, now is wearing a prescription for .200 and will be wearing them all the time except for when she is reading books. I have a pretty unhappy Little bug living in my house right now because she HATES when Mommy might actually know what she is talking about. She also isn't very happy that Mommy set a price limit on her frames, something that Mommy doesn't really do because I want them to be very happy with what they pick out and wear them. But when you destroy a pair on purpose that is what happens with this Mom.

Anyway, I will try to get a picture of the girls with their new glasses after we get Sweetpea's. I'm just glad that we are done with it for this year and hey maybe next year will be the year that I get out of Dr. D's office without having to pay and arm and half a leg. I hope that everyone has a great Tuesday!

Feline Friday!!

I'm happy that Angel didn't decide to run off just because I grabbed the camera today. The power of watching the birds outside on the patio was just to much for her, so she sat very still. Since Angel is the difficult kitty to get pictures of, I was so happy I shot several of her!

It is time for Feline Friday and our temp hosting while Steve and Pickle are on blogging break. This week we have Kenz helping an injured Cuidado with a great snow and shadow photo. If you want to play along just post your own and leave a link in comments. If you would like to host just let me know. I hope that everyone has a great weekend!

Not so great at keeping up

I have not been so great at keeping up with blogging this week. Girls have been to distracted with school stuff, for me to do our weekly blogs about them. I have had some projects that I wanted to work on, so I just didn't get around to signing in. So I figure for tonight I would just post a week update and hopefully get back into the swing tomorrow with the Feline Friday post.

It has been an eventful week at the high school for the oldest two. There was a stabbing that happened Tuesday, and the fall out from that has been rumors of a possible shooting, and heaven only really knows just what else. There has been from the sounds of it, a pretty large police presence at the high school since Wednesday, and based on the e-mail and phone call notifications that presence is going to be there till at least next week. The girls have said that it has been very quiet at the school since Wednesday because there have been a lot of students staying home. Todd and I talked to the girls about everything going on and they both wanted to go to school. I will admit that my first gut reaction was "Ummm...NO WAY!" The sad thing is that the treats do happen and after the real problem the rumors are bound to fly. Difficult choice as a parent to send them off and just pray for the very best to happen.

Littlebug on the other hand is having a very quiet week at school. She will be getting to stay home with Mom tomorrow since it is an in service day for the teachers. Who doesn't love a three day school week?

I'm going to be the temporary host for the Feline Fridays till at least March when we hit all the birthdays, so I will be back tomorrow with that entry.

I hope that everyone has been having a good week.

Monday mumbling

Since I'm a little bored here tonight I started going through pictures. I'm always amazed when I find pictures that I totally forgot I even took. The first picture is of a hawk that I swear just loves to torment me. It will soar over the back yard and land in the trees near the yard till I grab my camera and then he lands and sits on the same branch of the above tree. No matter how much zoom I use I just cant get a better shot of it. Even better is if I unlock the back gate and start to walk across the ravine area, it will fly off towards the road. Every day this is what happens. If I could take dogs out and not risk dropping my camera I would make sure that I had the camera with me at all times in the morning.

The other two pictures of the betta fish are just here because I'm happy that I finally caught some pictures that were not blurred. I'm also happy that I didn't have to do any editing to them. Nami would really like for me to keep that big black thing away from him and his tank. He has taken to flaring whenever I am trying to get pictures. I'm thinking with as bored as I am here tonight, that I really need to get out of this house tomorrow. Girls will be back in school and Todd has tomorrow off, so maybe grab the camera and head out. I hope that everyone has had a good start to the week.

Sibling Sunday

Sweetpea and Cheybug are happy that Binky Sue has returned home! Mommy and Daddy are happy too. Amazingly enough about 15 minutes after the return home the snippy started with each other. Ahh...the wonderful sound of snippy attitude flying back and forth. Their biggest complaint..."She didn't bring US ANYTHING!!" Binky Sue did bring Mom and Dad each something small though. Binky Sue had a great time at the resort though, and was full of hyper details to share as soon as she got home.

This weekend has been pretty uneventful other than Binky Sue's trip. Everyone has tomorrow off, so one more day of the weekend to get through. I was hoping that maybe a trip to the Tucson Botanical Garden's could be done to take the whole family up to see the butterfly exhibit, but since they raised their prices that trip is going to have to wait just a couple more weeks till we go and do that. I really want to get it done before the weather starts making the upwards temperature climb, because the green house that the butterflies are housed in is warm enough when the temperatures are cool. Good news is we have until March 31 to get to it.

There isn't to much of anything else to tell for this sibling post, so I hope that everyone has had a great weekend, and if you are off tomorrow enjoy the day.

Keeping watch...Doggy Saturday

Trinity seems to be keeping watch for something this week. Her favorite spot has been sitting on the couch looking out the living room windows into the back yard. I'm not exactly sure just what she feels the need to watch but she has done a great job of doing it this week.

I hope that everyone is having a good weekend. See you tomorrow for Sibling Sunday here.

Feline Friday without a home?

Eclipse is on edge about the thought of there being no Feline Friday to show of all of her cuteness at. Last week Steve announced he and Pickle are taking a blogging break till spring. We have to have our Feline Friday, so today I'm going to set up this entry with all of the links for this weeks felines. I cant have an on edge kitty kitty in this house after all. I can take the Feline Friday's till the 14th of March, but then due to 2 girls birthdays, family coming in for visit for this year's Sweet 16 of Sweetpea, and a birthday vacation trip to the Grand Canyon, and several other Arizona spots, I will not be able to do the rest of March. So if no one minds, we can give the felines a home here for a while. Besides it seems so fitting since my 2007 was all about giving the felines a temp home, at least these beautiful felines I don't have to go walking through the ravine in the back to save them from the coyotes.

Yes another picture of Eclipse reacting to the news about Feline Friday needing a home. She may even be laughing at me about trying to play host, and putting links in this entry. But here I go trying to get this done anyway.

Antonette posted a video of the Beautiful Sand Cat the cutest cat in the world.
Julie showed howMidnight spends her day. Very beautiful feline to go check out.
There that wasn't to painful for me to get done. Eclipse is really laughing at me now after watching me talk to myself trying to remember the html code for putting the links in. If you want to play along, just post an entry of your feline and leave a link in comments. If anyone else would like to host a Friday with the felines just let me know. I hope that everyone has a great start to the weekend.

Binky Sue

Well, here we are at the last day of my blogging about my complaints with the girls. I know I should feel guilty, but I don't. They are settling back into being the kind children that I always hear about from other people. Of course it helped matters a lot that two of the three needed money for things that they wanted, and they therefore turned into the very sweet kind girls again.

Anyway my complaint about Binky Sue! The child isn't capable of sitting quietly! She loves the sound of her own voice and has for years, the louder the better. Put Binky Sue in a room filled with people that are just sitting quietly, and she will go crazy. No really!! She will go totally insane because of the silence in the room. Try sitting out on the front porch with her some nice spring evening and don't talk. You will soon be listening to her getting louder and louder, and in time she will just start a pretend conversation and do the talking for both of you. This of course is after she asks you about a hundred times "Why aren't you talking???" Another difficult thing for her is to be quiet while watching...ANYTHING!! Try sitting with her and try to watch something on TV or a movie and hear anything that is being said. After you ask for the tenth time she might actually get quiet. This week she has been extra loud for some reason, but now that we are in the 24 hour window for her wanting money and wanting to make the weekend trip to Phoenix, she has gotten much quieter suddenly.

Okay, I'm done with my complaints this week. It really has made me feel better venting over these silly little things that they do. I will live with the fact that people may think that I'm mean this week...but I'm a Mom and only keep so much of it in. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thursday and a great start to the weekend tomorrow.

Cheybug Wednesday

Yes, I'm continuing my Mom complaints about my girls today. The things that make me scratch my head and throw my hands up in the air in amazement. My biggest and continuing issue with Little Bug/Cheybug is messiness. Total complete mess! It doesn't even matter where she is. Any room in this house is possible to be hit by her attacks. Something as simple as sitting on the couch to have a quick snack while sitting talking to parents will leave a crumb mess like you have never seen before. Even from things that you wouldn't think it was possible for crumbs to fall from!! She goes through phases where the mess factor is higher than normal, and the last couple of weeks, well lets just say that we have reached all time new highs...or maybe it is all time new lows. I'm just so not sure anymore. I understand that things can be made a mess of and that is fine...but this child is like the queen of creating a mess. Oh and it isn't just here in the house. I dare anyone to go to school and take a look in her locker! Watch out though something might jump out at you and attack!!

This isn't to be mean, I really am amazed by this child and her ability to create a mess every where she goes. Nothing is safe from it. How can that be? The better part is that it is never her fault there is a mess, it must be someone else that is trying to frame her for it. It is like the cake in Oma's kitchen oh so many years ago, it wasn't Little bugs fault that she put her hands in and scooped out some, Oma left it on the counter after all.

I'm happy with what I have chosen for my entries this week. Slowly but surely as I sit typing these things here I'm feeling better. I'm sure as the children read them they are going to have other thoughts about them, but if it keeps me from pulling my hair out, I don't care! I hope that everyone has a great Wednesday! I off to run a million errands search for supplies, and will probably have more than a few messes to clean up. Enjoy the day everyone!

Sweetpea Tuesday

I'm going to do a Mom's choice for this week, and my choice is...it is a compliant list. I'm sorry but I just cant come up with any better name for it. It isn't to be mean or anything like that, and the things that I'm picking are not all that horrible. I just don't have any other idea's for this week, and since all of the girls are still in fight mode with each other I just feel this topic is the best one for this week.

My compliant about my Sweetpea is that no matter how many times I ask "Do you need any other art supplies or school supplies?" "I'm running out to Staples now do you need anything?" "Sweetpea I have a list of supplies that your sister's need, do you need ANYTHING??" I always hear the answer no from her on that day, and then within 24 hours she will come to me in a panicked "MOM!! I NEED THIS!!!" It just never fails! It is at least once a quarter for school that I am making my run to a store to pick up stuff, and I ask each and every one of them. Every time, it is her that tells me no, and every time it is her that comes to me later and gives me one heck of a list. She did it when I ran out just a couple of weeks ago for their return from break. Tonight I asked her to make me a list of what it was that she needed, and even though I haven't gotten out to get her what all she asked for on the 8th, she looked me in the eyes and said "No, I don't need anything." Now I know this just cant be right because she has taken to carrying her art case to school with her from home. She never carries that to school with her because that is kept full separate from school. I'm sure that come tomorrow after I have run all of my errands, probably tomorrow night at about 8 p.m. I will hear the phrase that to me is about the same as someone raking their nails across a chalk board. "MOM...I NEED THIS STUFF!!" Sweetpea wonders why we bought her so many sketch books for Christmas this year. Hmmm...I wonder why too. Oh wait we bought 6 sketch books just so at there would be one thing that I'm not hearing about the night before. I think it may be time for me to set up a hidden space in the closet with tons of art supply stuff. I may need to talk to Grandma G and see what she recommends I keep stocked up in there on top of the stuff that I know very well already. People may think that I'm opening up my own art supply store, but it would be worth it just to not have to hear those words anymore. Just point to the closet.

Yes, it is a complaint about my Sweetpea! Every now and then you just have to let it out. I will play fair and do it for each of them, heaven knows they are giving me more than enough to work with this week. I also am willing to point out their biggest complaint about me this week. I'm on a power trip and just MEAN! No they haven't said that but a mother can tell what the look is that their getting.

I hope that everyone is having a good week so far. If nothing else get a laugh from the teen pains and tween pain postings from me the next couple of days.

Relaxing start to the new week

I'm pretty sure that my main goal for today is to do next to nothing. This weekend was a busy and kind of irritating one, so I think it would be wonderful to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet in the house. Anyway, the pictures today are from last week and my trip out to Our Lady of the Sierras Shrine. I take pictures several times a week, but usually just around here or of the kid and animals. One of my goals for this year is to try to get out and about at least once a week, and at least once a month find a new place that I have never been to and take pictures there.
The shrine sits on top of a mountain in the Ash Canyon area, and the view is spectacular. The hike from the parking lot down below the church on a daily basis would be one of the best forms of a work out that anyone could do. I'm already planning another trip out there because the camera and I seemed to be having issue with each other about just how to shoot a picture. I'm thrilled with how all of my pictures turned out, but want another chance at them. Due to running short on time I didn't get all the way through the area out there, so would like to make sure that I get a quicker start next trip.

I'm hoping that my next trip out will be a little less frustrating with the white balance. I also have thoughts of a different trip even though it would be a repeat trip. The Butterflies Exhibit at the Tucson Botanical Garden has been up and running since October, and will be ending come March, so I think it is time to head up that way and spend a day taking pictures. I promised the girls last year that this time they would make the trip with me. Since they have next Monday off from school I think I need to take a look at trying to make the trip to Tucson.
I hope that everyone has a great start to the week, and enjoys something just relaxing today.

Sibling Sunday

I know usually today has a picture to go with the entry, but with as much fighting as I have listened to this weekend, I'm not about to make them sit down with each other for a photo! Being trapped in a room with tarantula's would be way more pleasant for me. Besides they would probably try to choke each other while sitting for a picture. I'm glad they get to go back to school tomorrow, and hopefully this week they will calm down with each other again.

There isn't all that much new going on for the girls this week. Report cards came home for Binky Sue and Sweetpea Friday and they did pretty good. Cheybug will be getting report card this week, and I'm pretty sure that hers will be good. Binky Sue is going to be heading to Phoenix this coming weekend for a birthday party for a friend. She is very excited about going and staying in a resort up there, and I'm hoping that it is as great a time as she is hoping to have.

Like I said there really isn't all that much new going on right now, so I will just go ahead and end this here. I hope that everyone has had a great weekend, and that the coming week is good to all.

Giving Saturday to the dogs

Giving the dogs today's entry, so they to can show off just how cute they are. Okay so I'm not so sure just how cute I would say they are after the last couple of days that they have had here, but I would say they are pretty good at their synchronized bone chewing skills. They are both also really good at doing their best cute looks when they see Mom with the camera. I would make this entry longer but both have figured out that I'm not paying real close attention and are continuing with their being bad streak. I hope that everyone is having a great weekend, and see you tomorrow for Sibling Sunday here.

A Happy Eclipse

Eclipse is back and was more that willing to pose for me this week. Really good thing is I got enough pictures that if for some reason she decides to not want to work with me in the next couple of months that I have back up all ready to go on Friday. Eclipse was just happy for a return of a bit warmer weather and Mom opening up the doors and windows for some fresh air, so she was able to sit and watch all the winter time birds that have been filling the back yard during the day.
It's time for Feline Friday, and a I had a bit of a surprise this morning over at Steve's blog. He has already posted for today and he is taking a break till spring. My first thought was "OH NO!", but then stopped and figured well we all need a break at some point in time. So everyone head over there and leave a comment wishing well and see you in the spring.

Everyone have a great Friday, and a wonderful weekend!

Binky Sue...5 Words

Time for Binky Sue's 5 words. Everyone knows how I'm working this by now so let's just get started with her choice of words about herself.
  • Optimistic
  • Helpful
  • Creative
  • Trustworthy
  • Bubbly

Mom and Dad's 5 words;

  • Loud
  • Hardworking
  • Social lite
  • Silly
  • Emotional

Sweetpea and Cheybug's 5 words;

  • Loud
  • Smart
  • Leader (Bossy)
  • Blond (not hair color)
  • Sugar High

I cant really think of any words to describe Binky Sue that we might have missed. So we are all done with this weeks topic for the girls and their days. Tomorrow is Feline Friday again, so I will see you back for that. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Friday and a great start to the weekend ahead.

Cheybug...5 Words

Time for Cheybug and her 5 words. Going to post the same way as yesterday with Sweetpea's. So we are going to get started with Cheybug.
  • Messy
  • Kind
  • Smart
  • Cute
  • Accident Prone

Mom and Dad's 5 words;

  • Flibberty Jibbit
  • Drama Queen
  • Crafty
  • Outgoing
  • Inquisitive

Binky Sue and Sweetpea's 5 words;

  • Tall
  • Wimpyish
  • Sweet (every now and then)
  • Love (for her bears)
  • Hungry-Very!

Now that Cheybug has read the words that her sisters have picked for her I think it would be very safe to add Crabby to the list. Of all of the words on the list I think that Drama fits her the best. She keeps me on my toes with the ups and downs that is part of being in Cheybugs life.

Two down and just one more left to get done. So see you back here tomorrow for Binky Sue Thrusday. I hope that the week is going well for everyone.

Sweetpea....5 Words

This weeks topic is 5 words. Each of the girls is going to pick 5 words that they think describes them. Then Mom and Dad are going to pick 5, and then siblings are going to pick 5. Very simple topic for this week or so Sweetpea thought when I handed it to her last night. So I'm going to start with her 5 words that she finally chose and then add the rest.
  • Weird
  • Smart
  • Short
  • Creative
  • Crabby

Mom and Dad's 5 words;

  • Vertically Challenged
  • Colorful
  • Creative
  • Cynic
  • Recluse

Binky Sue and Cheybug's 5 words;

  • Devious
  • Notspendytimeyish
  • Fun sized
  • Cute-Adorable
  • Grouchy-Dungeon Mistress

Just in case you are wondering, I think Binky Sue and Cheybug were making up some words as they went along, and I know they had a few arguments about having to share their 5 words. Sweetpea's choice of weird I don't agree with and Dad's choice of colorful for it I still don't think fits. Sweetpea is just...Sweetpea! She is original and doesn't fall into any of the "norms". But I don't think she would want it any other way.

Okay so one down for this week. Tomorrow will be Cheybugs, so see you back here for that.

I hope that everyone is having a good week.

Stormy Monday

I've been trying to post this for a little bit here today. A very telling sunrise this morning about just what the day was going to have in store for us. The winds have rolled back in and I think might be trying to blow us out of the state of Arizona. We have a semi circle of grey clouds surrounding us here today, with winds gusting up to 30-35 mph. Thank goodness the plan is for some home made chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight, because I'm sure when girls get home from school I'm going to hear about just how very cold they all are.

Speaking of the girls getting home from school today, I have missed having my girls home with me today. It was nice to have the quiet this morning, but as the day has gone on I have just missed having them here. Sometime it just takes Mom a couple of days to adjust back to having the house to herself. Oh wait...I do have the animals that have kept it lively around here today. I hope that everyone is having a great start to the week, and see you back here tomorrow for a Sweetpea Tuesday post.

Sibling Sunday

Can you guess who isn't happy about having to go back to school tomorrow? Two weeks off just isn't enough for Paige and Steph. Actually they have both said that it is long enough, they just really don't want to get back to school. They aren't ready for all of the homework and tests. Chey on the other hand cant wait to get back to school. Tomorrow is the first day of the second semester and report cards will be coming home tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping they all have a great first day back to school.

Hopefully it will be a great week for everyone.

Cats with their girls

Here we are the first Friday of 2008, which means it is Feline Friday! I was able to catch Angel and Eclipse snuggled up with their girls. Eclipse with her Binky Sue and Angel with her Sweetpea. Although in the picture Angel looks a bit more like she is being held in a head lock, she really isn't being held against her will. Angel just looks that way because I started taking pictures and we all know that she just doesn't really care for that camera of mine. Eclipse on the other hand just loves curling up and being held by her Steph.
Since it has been almost a year with me having the Kodak P880, and I now know how it responds and have had lots of time to practice with each of the settings, I'm picking back up on where I was last year with taking photo's and giving myself some challenges for photography. At this time last year before the day of dropping my other camera to the cement, I was working on shooting just black and white photo's. So that is what I'm going back to for the month of January. What does this have to do with Feline Friday? Well, not a lot of anything other than due to the cats colors I think they look wonderful when shot with the right backgrounds in black and white. Plus I'm just letting everyone know what the pictures will be looking like here for the month.

Anyway, I'm posting this early here today since I actually already had the photo's ready to go last night. I will post link over to Steve's Feline Friday post later in the day once his is up. I hope that everyone has a great start to the weekend.

BinkySue Thursday...Hopes for the year

BinkySue has some simple hopes for this year. She would like to get better grades in math...that means she want A's instead of the B's she has been getting. She would like to meet better guys than the one's that she has been. For easy classes going into her senior year next year, get her driver's license coming up here, and for just a good year over all. Oh and based on her pose for the above picture this past Monday at the Garden Canyon, I think she wants to take over the world. She has her conquering pose down pat already.

That is it for the hopes for the girls for the new year. Tomorrow is the first Feline Friday of 2008, so see you back here tomorrow with the felines.

Cheybug Wednesday...Hopes for year

Cheybugs hopes for the year are pretty simple one's just like her sister. Cheybug would like to see better grades, to get better with her hand writing and her typing. Her hand writing is kind of shaky because of a slight tremor due to the depakote. She would like to see this be the year that her hair grow back health and long. (Also a side effect of being on the depakote, her hair pretty much died, split and we have had to keep it cut very short.) Cheybug would also like to make this a year where she bugs her older sister to the point of going crazy. Mom is not so sure about that last one, but I guess she can try if she feels she has to.
Once again just some simple things for the year. Tomorrow I will be back for a BinkySue hope the year. I hope that everyone is having a good week.

Sweetpea Tuesday...Hopes for the New Year

Getting this New Year off to a great start here today and going to get back on track with the posting schedule that the girls set for me. Paiges hopes for this new year is are pretty simple really. She would really like to finally have a growth spurt and pass the five foot mark!! She would like to get better grades in school...hmmm maybe if she would do some of her homework that would happen.(Just a Mom thought there though) She wants to get into the district art show again this year. Sweetpea would also like to have a wonderful Sweet 16th up at the Grand Canyon and a swing through Sedona is the plan right now. She would really like for something exciting to happen this year is her biggest thought. Just a simple list of things for her here today. I think due to staying up so late to ring in the new year her mind just doesn't want to give her any other thoughts for the day.

I hope that everyone is having a great relaxed day today, and see you tomorrow with a Cheybug post of what her hopes for the New Year are.

Welcome 2008!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Welcome to 2008 everyone!! To keep our tradition of the last couple of years I'm posting the midnight dog pile photo. Midnight brings the kisses and then the dog piles begin. Now is time to try and get girls that are hyped up on sparkling cider to chill out and try to get some sleep sometime tonight.
Anyway, one more time...HAPPY 2008!!!
