Feline, Furball and Feathers Friday

Gypsy Rose, originally uploaded by torri_g.

The first Feline and Furball Friday of 2010! I managed to get pictures of Mia, Trinity, and Gypsy Rose. After great deliberation I decided that the first of 2010 should be one of the felines. Oh and I didn't leave Angel out, she just is no where around for me to be able to find her.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday season, but in this house we are happy that normal routine is about to get going again.

If you want to play along with Feline, Furball and Feathers Friday just post your own entry and leave a link in comments by next Friday. See everyone again next week.

Feline, Furball, and Feather's Friday

Gypsy Rose, originally uploaded by torri_g.

I've been so busy this week I almost forgot about Feline Friday! Thank goodness I always have a ton of pictures in archive to pull from, because I think if I tried to take a photo of any of the animals today they would be nothing but huge blurs. This picture though was shot with my cell phone so not the best as far as quality but I love it because it show a happy Binky Sue with her girl Gypsy Rose.

I'm a little rushed here so just going to keep this short...if you want to join in and play along just post your own and leave a link in comments. Enjoy a wonderful weekend and hopefully I will get some time to post more this coming week.

Feline, Furball, and Feather's Friday

IMG00292, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Before anyone should ask...no we didn't get another dog. This little guy is Midnight. Midnight has an owner that doesn't seem to care if he is out running on the streets or not. The neighborhood children do care though and seem to think that every time they find Midnight out running the streets, that they need to bring him here to my house. Midnight actually had to come in the house this week for a short time because of the weather and me having to wait for his owner to get home. Guess what though, Midnight was right back out running the streets the very next day. I'm going to say once again here...if people don't want to take care of their animals then why do they get them?? I'm sure yet again this afternoon the kids of the neighborhood will bring Midnight back here and I'm pretty sure they are hoping that I will just keep him for good at this point in time. I can't though and I'm hoping that enough times of having to deal with me that his owner will get a clue in their head. I'm not going to hold my breath for that one though.

Alright so it is Friday again and that means time for all of the great felines, furballs, and feathers to come out and show off. If you want to play along all you have to do is post your own and leave a link in comments by next Friday. Have a great Friday!

Feline, Furball and Feathers Friday

Mia and Angel, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Mia and Angel just chilling out. I forgot all about this picture till today. It was taken a couple of weeks ago and just really kind of fits for the day after thanksgiving. Just a bunch of chilling out going on around here for most of the family. Only bad thing is that Trinity is sick and it has been a very long day for her and trying to get her stomach back to a calm level. I'm not sure just what has triggered this for Trinity but I have a guess that maybe someone got a hold of something in the yard that she shouldn't have Wednesday night. Trinity is doing better for the most part, she did eat this after noon and was able to hold it down for several hours. She has kept drinking and just laying around giving me her killer pitiful looks for most of the day. Hopefully tomorrow will bring the real turning the corner on this for her.

Anyway, it is time again for Feline, Furball and Feathers Friday. If you want to play along just post your own and leave a link in comments by next Friday.

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and have a wonderful weekend.

Feline, Furball, and Feathers Friday

Waiting for the phone to ring, originally uploaded by torri_g.

The most pitiful look of the week goes to Angel! I'm not sure who she is waiting on to call her, but at least her and the blue tooth device are ready.

So it is time again for all of the animal friends to come out and play. If you want to play along just post your own and leave a link in comments by next Friday.

Feline, Furball, and Feather's Friday

IMG_7554, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Last Friday Miss Gypsy Rose crossed yet another major milestone since she came to live here with us. She spent six straight hours out in living areas of the house not only with the people, but with the dogs too! Now as soon as Binky Sue had to leave for work she hid for a bit behind and under the couch, but she eventually came back out and joined me on the couch. Because if you are a scared kitty cat who isn't used to spending that amount of time out of your comfort zone you really want to be next to the person who can offer the most protection from those big dogs and Mom of the house is the best one. Of course Gypsy had to have a bit more of a fort built up around her to make her really comfortable, oh and the laptop to lay on for extra warmth. Once again it was a happy moment on the path to healing this kitty cat.

So time for all of the great animals that fill our hearts with love and bring smiles to our faces to stop by. If you want to play along, all you have to do is post your own and leave a link in comments by next Friday. Everyone have a great weekend.

Feline, Furball, & Feathers Friday

Gypsy Rose, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Gypsy Rose has finally laid claim to a favorite spot out side of Binky Sue's room! This is a great thing to celebrate! Gypsy has been spending more and more time out of Binky Sue's bedroom recently and with her laying claim to a favorite spot brings her willingness to stand up against any other animal that tries to move her from it. We still haven't had her spend to much time with the dogs, but we have had to do really tiny baby kitty steps with Miss Gypsy. By the way her spot is right in front of the corner section chair, just a little off of center for watching the television on the carpet. Don't walk there while she is out or she will have to chase your foot.

Friday again means it is time for Feline, Furball, and Feather's Friday. So time for all of the great animal friends to come out and show off how wonderful they are. If you want to play along all you have to do is post your own picture and story, and then stop by here and leave a link in comments by next Friday.

I hope that everyone has had a good week and have a wonderful and safe weekend!

Feline, Furbal, and Feathers Friday

Angel and Gypsy, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Just a real quick for tonight and a promise to come back either later or first thing tomorrow to add links to Carly and Dylan. Angel and Gypsy are currently hiding from the 7 extra 14 year old that have taken over the house tonight. After the current noise level drops down to just 2 extra 14 year olds I might be able to coax them out of hiding again, but I'm not going to make any bets on that. They know the noise level that has happened to the house tonight.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend, and remember if you want to play along just post your own and leave a link in comments by next Friday.

Update:
Yes I know it has taken me all day to get back but I have been very busy. As promised though here is the link to Dylan over at Carly's. He was busy with yarn, and keeping his Mom amused while she was sick. Super cute pictures so click and check them out.

Feline, Furball, and Feather's Friday

100_8653, originally uploaded by torri_g.

This morning brought a major shock to the house and has left everyone pretty upset. When I uncovered the birds this morning I didn't see Puff in her cage. Which of course lead to a frantic search, and then a sudden stop by me to think and go back over to her cage and look. Puff I'm very sad to say has passed away. Looking at everything it looks as if she for some reason tried to curl herself up in a food dish, and possibly smothered herself once getting stuck. There were lots of instant tears in the house since all the girls were out helping to locate her since I had first thought she had gotten out of her cage. Little Bug is taking it very hard since Puff was her little buddy. The girls are going to take the day to deal with the shock of what has happened, and figure just where they would like to take Puff to bury her. Tomorrow may not be much better for girls because I would like to have Puff laid to rest by then. It is an odd day for me since I keep expecting to hear her scream at the other birds about their noise, or to hear the sound of her bells as she chirped into them. Of all of the animals in the house, Puff was the one that was happiest making you smile because of her never ending antics.

I've debated with myself today about putting the link to Carly and Dylan for this week, and I'm going to hold off till next week to post it. It will be a fun post for next Friday to go with the pictures that I was going to use today until the day just went bad. So everyone try to have a good weekend and hopefully things will go better this coming week and I will get back to a normal Feline, Furball, and Feathers Friday post with links.

Feline, Furbal, and Feathers Friday

Angel, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Just real quick for today since the crud that has been making its rounds through the house is finally winning and taking me down for the count too. Angel isn't worried though because her girl Sweetpea is only fighting with allergy issues. Only thing Angel needs Mom for is to either remind someone to do something for her, or to get those blinds open at the right time for prime bird watching. So the rest of us can feel free to sneeze, cough, and blow our noses as much as we want. Heck she doesn't mind if we run a fever, just as long as she can get access to us to curl up on whoever is running the fever, because it would be a crime for all the heat to just go to waste. Don't bother complaining about body aches to her though, because she just doesn't have time to listen to that, there are toy balls in the back hallway to bat around and tease the heck out of those furballs with. Angel was kind to me though and actually sat still for a change for me to get a picture of her, so any blur to it is because of me and having a chill or two while trying to get the camera as steady as possible.

So it is time again for the all the great felines, furballs, and feathers. If you want to play along just post your own and leave a link in comments by next Friday.
I hope that everyone has a great weekend, and look of for the the crud because it is super fast moving.

Feline, Furball, & Feathers Friday

Kiki, originally uploaded by torri_g.

I love taking pictures of Kiki! Unlike the lovebirds, Kiki just likes to take her time walking from place to place. Probably because her flying skills are horrible! Actually her flying isn't the biggest issue that Kiki has, it is the landing or in her case the crash landings that are the huge issue. Never seems to fail that Kiki will find the trash can to land in, or the water dish for one of the four legged animals, or even worse...the walls! So unless she is trying to escape me and the water bottle for spritzing her for bath time. Kiki is very happy to keep both her feet and all her feather's on the ground, which makes for a much easier photograph to be taken of her.

So it is Friday and time for all the felines, furballs and feathers to shine. No pouting pictures this week because they were so pouty that it would break hearts to see them. (This is actually not a joke since Trinity was in her "poor me" routine just about all week long.)

This week Carly stopped by with Hendrix showing off a new perspective of the world. Great pictures of a wonderful cat!

So now time for how to play along. Grab your camera and take a picture of your feline, furball or feather friend, post the picture and then stop by here and leave a link in comments. It doesn't have to be done today, just by next Friday.
I hope that everyone enjoys a great weekend and see you next week.

Feline, Furball, & Feathers Friday

Angel, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Look it is a statue of a kitty cat! Oh no, wait it is a kitty cat pretending to be a statue. If Angel is now sitting still and posing for pictures the end must be close so let's all be very careful. :)

Alright it is Feline, Furball & Feathers Friday, now I know it is difficult to when memes change home locations, but I'm really thinking that if we don't get at least one link for next week, I'm breaking out the big pouty face pictures. Trust me you really don't want me to do that because I have the queen of pout living under my roof. All joking aside, what could be easier than taking a picture of your loved animal friend, make an entry post, and dropping a link here in comments.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend.

Feline, Furball, and Feathers Friday

Puff the Love Bird, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Have one of the feathers to share this week. Puff has been the bird that makes me laugh since she came home to this house over a year ago now. Her antics when it is time to clean the cages makes everyone crack up, but her thing this week with cleaning and changing of food and water dishes really got me. Seems that Puff thinks that the food containers are just the right size of dish for her. To the point that when the lid was put on the container she sat on top of it knocking and doing her best mad screech. Once again I say, she may be the smallest of the animals in this house, but she sure has the biggest attitude.

So it is time to grab the cameras and take pictures of your feline, furball, or favorite feathered friend. Make a post and leave a link here in comments. Doesn't have to be a post made on Friday, just a link left in comments by next Friday. I hope that everyone enjoys a great weekend.

Feline, Furball, and Feathers Friday

Shhh....be very quiet, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Angel has had a bad week here after getting banned from entering my room. I would call it a grounding, but since I'm leaning towards a forever thing, banned is a much better word. Miss Angel gets upset about things...lots of things actually. You know things like, the water is to dirty (which if she wouldn't drink from the dogs water dish this wouldn't be a problem) or there aren't anymore kitty treats (once again I have to point out that if she wouldn't shred the packages I wouldn't have to get rid of the treats). Basically her list goes on and on and it all boils down to one thing if she wouldn't do the first action I think she could be a happier kitty cat. However, Miss Angel doesn't play that way and in the her kitty mind I am to blame for all things wrong (Hey! That is just like my kids too!). So she when she is feeling down and wronged she heads to my bed room and causes havoc and chaos on a grand scale. Well, last Saturday I finally reached my breaking point and shut my door and have not allowed me Miss Angel in since. She has spent every day this week wandering the house during the day meowing as loud as her little kitty lungs will let her (which is really very loud!) and she really isn't taking time to rest during the day. She has to keep watch for that door and the possibility that Mom will leave it open or maybe Dad will move just slow enough so that she can make a run for it. The poor kitty cat is just ending up exhausted and being forced to sleep on the back of the couch! I know, I'm such a horrible kitty Mom.

Alright we have birthday's to celebrate this week! Carly's boys turned one!

It looks like a great celebration with a very cute cake. Happy Birthday Dylan and Hendrix!

Now remember if you want to play along also, all you have to do is post your own and leave a link here in comments by next Friday. I hope that everyone has a great Friday and a wonderful, safe holiday weekend.

Feline, Furball, Plus Feathers Friday

The mini zoo, originally uploaded by torri_g.

It is Friday and that for me for the last several years has meant time to take a picture of one of the many animals of the mini zoo, and then head over to visit Steve and Pickle plus all of the great animals that would stop by. This week though is bring something different. I was asked by Steve if I would like to take over the Feline Friday, and I swear after taking forever thinking about it, I said I would be honored.
So welcome to the new home of Feline and Furball Friday! I have no plans of changing anything about the meme, except for maybe needing links by Friday morning since I tend to do most of my posting in the early morning quiet of my day. But other than that the meme has worked as is for many years so let's not mess with it.

Since this is the first week for my mini zoo hosting, I figured a collage with all of them was fitting. So from Trinity, Mia, Angel, Gypsy Rose, Honey, Mango, Puff, and Kiki, we say hello and look forward to spending time on Friday's with all of the wonderful animals that stop by.

This week there is only one link and it is to Steve and Pickle one last time. I hope that everyone enjoys a great weekend and remember just post your own and drop a link sometime before next Friday.

All things Gypsy

Gypsy Rose, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Hmm...let's see where do I start with all things Gypsy? No where really, because Miss Gypsy still doesn't make many trips out of the room to the rest of the house. She will sit by the door waiting for Binky Sue to return to the room, but once the door is open she is off to her hiding spot till the door is closed again. It isn't that she doesn't trust the rest of the members of the house, she just could care less that we are here. We can get her carried out to the living room and she will tolerate sitting on the couch and low crawling to other spots in the house, but she just doesn't want to spend that much time out of her comfort zone. Things that have changed about Gypsy since she came into the house...she know sounds like a cat when she meows, not like the duck that she did sound like. She can chew and eat anything crunchy without pain, and actually chews it before swallowing. She doesn't flinch away every time someone other than Binky Sue tries to pet her. The biggest change? She jumps! She has truly become the cat that she always should have been allowed to be. She has even mastered the feline art of bugging her human while she is trying to sleep at night. While it still breaks my heart to think about what horrible things were done to Miss Gypsy, it is wonderful to see how quickly she has learned that she is loved by Binky Sue.

It is time to head over to visit Steve and Pickle and all of the wonderful animals that gather over there on Fridays. Remember if you want to play along all you have to do is post your own and leave a link in comments.

All things Angel

Angel, originally uploaded by torri_g.

In the after math of losing Eclipse, I was worried and Angel and how she was dealing/not dealing with the loss of her sister. Here we are now about a week shy of hitting three months since that day, and I'm so worried but confused by this kitty cat anymore. She is still all things Angel, but she seems to have adopted a few...heck more than a few traits that only Eclipse showed. The tearing open packages of human food left on a cabinet, the endless stalking of her girl, the curling up to be held when you sit down on the couch, the curling up on my computer tower while I sit working on something. The list really goes on and on but she has also maintained the things that have always made her Angel. One of those things returned yesterday with her climbing to the top of a door to balance and wait for me to walk by. If you have never had a cat come at you for the top of a door, be very happy about that! She used to do it more often a couple of years ago, and it was like the sign that she was really mad at me. Yesterday it was as if it were her giving me a sign that she was okay and still my Angel "Airborne Death From Above" kitty cat. She still won't pose the way that Eclipse would, and picks the most difficult areas for me to try to get a photo of her to spend her time in, but I think the pain that she may have felt of losing her sister is easing some. I also think that since she really doesn't have another cat to play with during the day because Gypsy Rose will not come out of the room unless Binky Sue brings her out, Angel may be thinking that she is part dog and needs to be leader of that pack in this house. Ever seen a 8 pound cat jump in the middle of a battle between a 34 pound dog and a 68 pound dog and win? Well, I have in recent weeks, and either the cat is insane or she just really believes that she is one of the dogs.

Alright it is Friday and time to head over to visit Pickle and Steve and see all of the wonderful animals that stop by to visit them. If you want to play along all you have to do is post your own and leave a link in comments. I hope that everyone has a great Friday and great weekend.

Tiny Fast Feathers

IMG_4681, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Tiny fast feathers of humming birds from down at the San Pedro. I love these birds and the challenge of photographing them while in motion. I also love that they will keep returning once you have gotten into place and are staying very still and quite. The fact that you can hear the buzz of them in flight help to let you know just when they are returning and need to have the camera ready to go.

Once again it is time to head over to visit Steve and Pickle for the week, and all of the great animals that gather for a visit.

Once again who is bigger?

IMG_4354, originally uploaded by torri_g.

Going with another picture of Puff showing some lovebird attitude again for my Feline, Furball with Feather's Friday post.
Puff this past week wanted to make sure it was clear to Sweetpea just who the boss was. I think the tiny little lovebird did a very good job of just that. Puff loves her bath time and this week wanted her bath but seemed to want Sweetpea to dunk her head down into the water for Puff to take her bath. I guess Puff is just to good to be standing on the metal of the sink anymore. Puff kept moving and pulling on hair till Sweetpea had her head just right near the stream of water. The whole thing of course had everyone laughing, but the fact that Sweetpea who could have easily shooed Puff off of her head but didn't just showed how very spoiled these animals really are. I on the other hand made it very clear to Puff that I would not be doing the same thing for her next bath time. That is because I'm still far to busy endlessly filling the water and food dishes that she keeps dumping all over the cage.

It is time to head over to visit Steve and Pickle and see all of the animal friends that have gathered for their day.
