Tonight we went out for dinner as a family to MBFG. It was something that all of us really enjoyed. Tons of laughing went on while there tonight and we were all so full the thought of needing to be rolled out to the car to go home was actually talked about. I can say that Binky Sue works at a great place, and all of the people that waited on us tonight were wonderful! Our server now has a best friend named Little Bug because with that NY style cheese cake with baklava, our sweet server brought out a small cup of very rich chocolate to drizzle over it. OMG!! Trust me rich isn't even a word that comes close to describing it. WOW...oh so good, but only something that I could have one bite of.
The reason for dinner out tonight? Well, the girls wanted to celebrate their Daddies retirement from the Army. Only about 3 more hours left of him being active duty. When he wakes up in the morning he will be part of the retired Army ranks. I know it really has been twenty years, just like us being married for twenty years this year. It just seems like it passed so quickly. Which sitting here thinking about some of the years just doesn't seem like they could have passed quickly at all. There is a new journey about to get started here, and I look forward to making every new step not only with my Army Guy, but with all of our girls.
I hope that everyone has had a great and safe Halloween!

A family night out

A short delay
Since this is turning into a post about Army Guy anyway, just let me tell everyone that he did great. I'm sure that he was, is, and is going to continue to be in a good deal of pain...but he had that doctor and nurse trying so hard not to laugh and then finally giving into laughter. Yes I was in the room with him for the procedure and really pray that is not something that he ever has to do again. For that matter no one I know needs to ever have that test done. I was in awe of Army Guy today, oh and I managed to not cry for him during it.
Anyway, I will get a picture of one of the many animals and get the Friday post up tomorrow. Tonight I'm just to tired, and probably have to many thoughts running through my mind. I hope that everyone has had a wonderful Friday, and this weekend I hope there is lots of time spent with those you love and remember to laugh lots.
Update: As of Tuesday October 27th all but one of the bone marrow test had come back normal. Meaning no cancer cells, and no myeloproliferative disorders. Just don't ask me to explain what it is that is going on with Army Guy's blood.

Feline Friday Time Travel
It's Friday again and that means time to head over to Steve and Pickles to see all of the great animals that stop by to visit them. But wait I haven't picked up my camera in about a week since I'm in serious pout mode about my knee, the lack of bending directions, and now knowing that I'm going to have to have surgery to repair the damage done to it. Pouting, not picking up the camera to take pictures, what do you do for a Feline Friday post? Well, you go back into your archived photo's and find a great old photo. You don't care if you have used it before, and you really want to find one to bring a smile not only to your pouting face, but to any one else who see's it. Now I understand that in this house the topic of Eclipse still makes several of us upset and feel like crying, but this kitty cat was the very best when it came to letting me take picture of her. As I looked through the last five years of photo's last weekend, it was like finding old treasure that I had just forgotten where I had put it. This picture though made me bust out laughing and call girls out to see it and laugh too. The sticking out of the kitty tongue at the camera was her trademark look. I have tons of pictures with her doing it, but this one is and always will be my favorite. Miss prissy Eclipse sitting on the corner of the table letting me know that while she will sit and pose for the picture, she is sick of me with the camera. A great big raspberry or whatever you want to call it to the world!
Now I don't think that I want to do the sticking out of my tongue to the world, but my knee I think deserves one and so does my pouting mood that I've been in. So what could be better than looking at a picture of a kitty that even though she broke our hearts by leaving us far to soon, made us laugh with her seeming commentary about so many things.
I hope that everyone has a great Friday, and don't forget to stop by and visit Steve and Pickle. Also have a wonderful and safe 4th of July.

Alaska visitors
I'm continuing with the posting of pictures from graduation last week. Today's is the visiting Bee family from Alaska. F-City and Mama Bee flew in for a real whirlwind trip here in Arizona. They landed Wednesday and were back out by Saturday morning. I can not believe how much Miss F-City has grown since last April. When they got here I was in the kitchen working on dinner and turned around to a huge hug from little girl who just isn't so very little anymore! I know...kids grow. However, I think to grow so much in just one short year is just wrong! With Mam Bee comes her laughter, and after hearing if for several days when it was gone it made my heart ache a bit. The Bee boys stayed in Alaska for some "male" bonding and from the sounds of it had a pretty good time. I wish there had been more time for just hanging out and talking, but hey we knew it was going to be a busy non stop type of trip before they even got here.
Tomorrow I will wrap up this photo posting of graduation with pictures of Binky Sue with Grandparents, then I'm just going to have to try to come up with some other pictures. I hope that everyone had a very good and relaxing Saturday.
